2023 Conference Speakers
Daryl FieldingBoard Director and CEO, Daryl Fielding is best known for leading transformational global brand strategies and marketing campaigns for names such as Dove, Cadbury, Trident, and Vodafone. As Director of Brand Marketing at Vodafone, she brought her experience of brands that inspire personal connections to the tech world. She shifted the mobile giant’s strategy towards people rather than phones and infrastructure. This concept of ingraining what a business does for people, rather than focusing on the products or services it provides, is at the heart of a successful company. During her keynote, Daryl will consider the integral relationship between culture, brand, and leadership, examining the need for businesses to understand their customers and behave accordingly. Daryl will be sharing how bringing a brand to life, is as much about its people and good leadership as it is about the end product. Delegates will discover how to make their brand stand out from the crowd – and how their people can be part of that process. |

Michael KavanaghMichael is a farm manager from Shropshire who was a Soil Farmer of the Year finalist in 2020, Farmers Weekly farm Manager of the Year finalist, and CPM climate change champion 2022. His zero-till arable crops are grown with a focus on plant health and minimising synthetic inputs. Biology, manure, cover crops, and correct nutrition allow him to farm this way. He grows a diverse range of combinable crops including milling wheat, malting barley, and quinoa among others. Farming operations extend to 1700 acres on a mixture of land owned, contract farmed, and grazing licenses. 700 ewes are lambed outdoors, with all lamb sales going to a local farm shop. All lamb is fed on diverse forage grown on the farm, with no concentrates being used across the flock. Michael's farming methods have encouraged the regeneration of his soils, with organic matter increasing and the farm sequestering a significant amount of carbon. Regular bird ringing is done on the farm and is an excellent indicator of the flourishing biodiversity on the farm. Michael is a co-founder of The Green Farm Collective, a farmer-owned company set up to trade natural capital, transfer knowledge, and trade regeneratively farmed produce. With his wealth of experience in the sector and knowledge of regenerative agriculture, Michael will be sharing his customer insights into what he looks for when it comes to dealership support. |
James Mead - Retired Head GroundsmanJames’s career spans over 50 years in the grounds care industry, working for some of the country's most prestigious schools, including King Edward School, Birmingham, Rugby School in Warwickshire, and Millfield School, Somerset. With a wealth of groundskeeping experience behind him and a working knowledge of machinery and turf care, James is certainly someone who knows what they want from a dealer relationship. Not only that but within his roles as a head groundsman, he has also had a great deal of experience in managing people – with many staff working with him for almost two decades - a great testament to his leadership, making James the ideal person to share his customer insight on how dealerships can best Take Care of Business. |
