TILLAGE LIVE CANCELLED

The AEA have announced that, with regret, they have taken the decision to cancel this year’s Tillage-Live which would have taken place at Down Ampney on September 23rd.

As Service Dealer reported last week, the Association had been hopeful that they would be able stage the event due to their large, outdoors setting.

However a statement posted to the official website this week read, "Current government guidance, together with local authority advice, particularly on the insistence of strict social distancing requirements has led the Tillage-Live management group to take this decision."

AEA director general Ruth Bailey added, "This decision, whilst regrettable, has been taken to avoid placing members of the public, exhibitors and the event delivery team at unnecessary risk. The AEA has a duty of care to all in this difficult year.”

Simon Brown, managing director of Amazone Ltd, and chair of the exhibitors’ committee said, "It’s a real shame that the industry will not have the opportunity to demonstrate crop establishment machinery this year, however we must put the safety of others first.”

The organisers say they are planning on Tillage-Live still being held at Down-Ampney in Gloucestershire in 2021.
