Always a fascinating activity, we look back today to see which were our most read stories of the year just ended. As ever we find a mixture of the unexpected, the dramatic, the celebratory and the not so pleasant.

DEALER CHANGES FOR RANSOMES - 16th March 2018

Ransomes Jacobsen announced several changes to sales territories in the north of England and Wales to, they said, "streamline and strengthen" its UK dealer network.

HUSQVARNA ANNOUNCE RESTRUCTURING OF CONSUMER BRANDS DIVISION - 27th July 2018

Husqvarna Group announced they were to focus more on premium products, with the underperforming Consumer Brands division folded into Husqvarna and Gardena divisions - but with very little impact on UK.

NEW RANGE OF ROBOT MOWERS COMING TO UK - 2nd March 2018

Magic Distribution, (a trade division of Mower Magic Ltd) secured an exclusive UK Distribution Agreement with Italian manufacturer Zucchetti Centro Sistemispa for the Ambrogio Robot mowers.

One leading farm equipment dealer association in the US won an important ruling in response to manufacturers protecting the 'right to repair'.

Service Dealer learned that Dave Roberts had left his position as managing director of Kubota (U.K.) Limited to take the position of CEO of Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV.

Dealers Briants of Risborough were victims of the theft of two chainsaws - by a gang who had possibly targeted other dealerships.

The final LAMMA taking place at the East of England Showground, Peterborough, was forced to close a day early due to high winds damaging the grounds.

Couple from East Riding were banned following twice failing to keep legally binding promises not to make misleading statements over machinery sales.

ROCHFORD BOUGHT BY AL-KO GARDENTECH - 3rd August 2018

Rochford Garden Machinery announced that the 100% acquisition of their company by German manufacturer AL-KO Gardentech had completed.
