The STIGA team have been offering their support to a number of domestic abuse charities, offering them mowers and gardening tools for the individuals under their care as part of their We Care, You Care scheme.
A spokesperson for STIGA said, "We are proud to provide products to Refuge, which is the largest domestic abuse organisation in the UK. On any given day their services support thousands of women and their children, helping them to overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives."
Kaylee Linton, service manager at Refuge said, “Refuge is very grateful to STIGA for generously donating garden products for our accommodation services. It’s so important that survivors who are fleeing domestic abuse have a place to go that feels safe and homely. These products will enable those fleeing abuse to tend to their outdoor space in the dispersed refuge accommodation, which can be therapeutic in itself, giving them the best start on their journey to re-build their lives’ after abuse.”
Donated were four Collector 136e kit mowers, four HT 300e Kit hedge trimmers and four GT 300 Kit grass trimmers.
