Suffolk-based sprayer maker Landquip has announced a deal to manufacture, at its own factory, cultivation equipment from Ukrainian firm Lozova, and to offer the resulting products throughout not only the UK and Ireland, but also the Australia and New Zealand markets, as well as selected countries in mainland Europe and Africa.
The deal is a reciprocal agreement which will result in Landquip sprayers for distribution across Ukraine, Russia, the CIS and other Eastern Europe countries being manufactured in Ukraine under the Lozova Landquip brand.
The range of Landquip Lozova cultivation machinery includes seedbed cultivators, rotary and tined inter-row cultivators, subsoilers with boron steel quick-change points, and the heavy-duty Ducat single-pass disc harrow line, in which there are models spanning 2.5-16.0m working widths with power requirements of 80-500hp.
Lozova has patented a number of technical features across the company’s equipment range, including maintenance-free bearing assemblies designed to ensure long-term reliability. These have been tested over ten years of use on farms across Ukraine, Russia and Eastern Europe.
“This agreement gives us the opportunity to provide both existing and new Landquip customers here in the UK with a range of price-competitive yet professional and high-quality cultivation machinery,” says Richard Abbott, managing director of Landquip.
“At the same time, it also gives our dealers further afield - we already export Landquip sprayers to many overseas markets - with a comprehensive equipment range to complement our sprayer lines.”
Landquip has been producing sprayers since 1984, and today manufactures mounted, demount, trailed and self-propelled models at its factory in Fressingfield, Suffolk. All machines are fitted with Alu-light aluminium booms from Pommier, for which Landquip has been the UK agent for 30 years.
Landquip Lozova machinery will be on display at the Midlands Machinery Show, (20-21 Nov, Newark Showground) and LAMMA (7-8 Jan, NEC, Birmingham). Landquip representatives will also be present on the Lozova stand A06 in Hall 12 at Agritechnica (10-16 Nov, Hanover).
