J E Lawrence & Sons based in Pembrokeshire have announced that they have handed their resignation to New Holland, ending a relationship which began in 1954.
In a statement on their Facebook page, the dealership said, "Our first priority is to look after those customers who have been loyal to us. We will be able to supply parts and machines and carry out warranty work until September 2027 as we are now in a 12-month notice period.
"We will now be able to completely focus on selling JCB tractors throughout our JCB territory and we will also be able to make the most of new opportunities."
Following this announcement, New Holland announced an update to its dealer network in Southwest Wales. From September 2026, Gwili Jones will expand their territory to the Southwest covering the county of Pembrokeshire and will become the exclusive New Holland dealer in this area from September 2027.
Gwili Jones, an established New Holland dealer since 1985, will continue to provide sales, service and parts support to customers across both its existing and expanded territory. To further strengthen its local presence, the dealership will open a new depot in the Letterston area in the coming weeks, increasing support and accessibility for customers throughout Pembrokeshire.
David Rapkins, commercial business unit director for UK and ROI, said, “We would like to thank J E Lawrence & Sons for their important role played in representing the New Holland brand over the years. As this transition takes place, our focus is to ensure customers in Southwest Wales continue to receive the high level of support they expect. As a well-established New Holland dealer, Gwili Jones is ideally placed to extend its trusted sales, service and parts support to New Holland customers into the new territory.”
