KUBOTA ESTABLISHES NEW R&D BASE

Kubota has announced it has acquired the land for establishing a new R&D base in the US as part of its drive to globalise its R&D structure.

At the new base in Georgia, the company say they will step up local development of mowers and utility vehicles, whose primary market is North America.

Kubota plans to invest more than $85 million in the site for a project that will establish a new engineering and design center to complement its overall North American footprint.

“This project is another great milestone for Kubota and it emphasises our commitment to expand our presence in Georgia as a major hub of our North American operations,” said Haruyuki (Harry) Yoshida, President and CEO of Kubota Tractor Corp.and Kubota North America Corp.

“We continue to grow to meet the demands of Kubota dealers and customers, while improving operational efficiencies and realising manufacturing excellence here in Georgia and across our business.”
